Accessibility information for DFW International Airport can be found here, including details on parking, wheelchair services, and audio and visual paging. Additionally, the airport has pet-friendly areas at each of the airport’s five terminals, with options both before and after security.
Guest Services at Dallas Love Field Airport has accessibility information for guests, including details on service animal relief areas. If you wish to request assistance when you arrive, you may call the airport’s 24/7 Airport Operations Center at 214-670-5683.
Dallas' DART system accessibility information can be found here, showcasing its commitment to providing accessible transportation options for all riders, regardless of ability. All DART buses and trains are equipped with wheelchair ramps and securement areas, making it easy for riders with mobility impairments to board and travel comfortably.
DART's paratransit service provides door-to-door transportation for eligible riders who are unable to use regular fixed-route services due to disability.
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
Parking: Parking is available directly in front of the arboretum, as well as in a parking garage across the street. The garage includes a secure underground walkway for safe access with a slight slope to meet ground entrance. The garage and underground walkway are both handicap accessible.
Entrances: The main entrance of the arboretum is fully accessible. Wheelchairs and trams are provided on the grounds (on a first-come, first-served basis) for those with walking limitations. They can be requested from the Information Booth next to the main entrance.
Garden grounds: Due to the garden’s naturally varied topography, portions of the historic landscape may be inaccessible.
Dallas Museum of Art
The Dallas Museum of Art has a wide range of access programs, including those for visitors with sensory processing disorders, developmental and learning disabilities, and limited mobility, among others.
Dallas Zoo
Sensory Needs: The zoo is certified as “sensory inclusive” for guests who may need a quieter and more secure environment while visiting the 106-acre park. Download the free KultureCity App to view what sensory features are available and where they can access them.
Perot Museum of Nature and Science
Parking: A limited number of accessible parking spots are available in the Main Museum Parking Lot (Lot B) under Woodall Rodgers Freeway.
Entrance: All public entrances and all levels of the Perot Museum are accessible by either elevator or walkways to accommodate both manual and motorized wheelchairs, as well as electric mobility scooters and visitors who prefer to avoid stairs.
Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
Parking: Handicap parking is available in the Museum lot, directly adjacent to the Museum, for the standard parking fee.
Entrance: An accessible ramp is located at the northwest corner of the Museum. Wheelchairs are available for guests in the Visitors Center on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reunion Tower GeO-Deck
Parking: Handicap parking is available with the Hyatt Regency Valet for $7. Valet parking is located at 300 Reunion Blvd.
Entrance: An elevator takes visitors to the entrance of the observation deck. Wheelchair accessible ramps lead to the outdoor observation deck.
George W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum
Parking: Accessibility parking is available in the parking lot across from the museum entrance on SMU Boulevard.
Entrance: Upon entry, all visitors must pass through a security check with a metal detector. The museum is fully accessible according to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Sign Language Services: For a sign language interpreter, email bush43visitors@nara.gov at least two weeks prior to your visit.
Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum
Entrance: All visitors who enter the museum must pass through security. The museum’s visitor entrance is located on Houston Street. The museum’s entrance, interior travel routes, theaters, and restrooms meet ADA standards.
Sensory Needs: Before coming to the museum, families and individuals with sensory needs can download the free KultureCity app to read about sensory features that are available in the museum and where to find them.
Located in the heart of downtown Dallas, Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD) offers 1 million square feet of space and connects to the 1001-room Omni Dallas Hotel via skybridge. KBHCCD is ADA compliant with accessible routes, registration desks, restrooms and door widths and includes gender neutral toilets, wheelchair seating and lifts and compliant elevator standards.
